Negative Oxygen Ion and Active Oxygen Technology
Release date:

Negative oxygen ion technology refers to the application of air negative-ion generators; it can also be described as a fundamental purification technology used in the vast majority of air purifiers.
Negative ions are gaseous ions in the air that carry a negative electric charge; they are also known as "negative oxygen ions." Negative ions possess various beneficial effects, including calming, inducing sleep, relieving pain, stimulating appetite, and lowering blood pressure. After a thunderstorm, people often feel refreshed and at ease—this is precisely because the concentration of negative ions in the air has increased. Airborne negative ions can neutralize reactive oxygen species (oxygen free radicals) generated by atmospheric pollutants, nitrogen oxides, cigarette smoke, and other sources, thereby reducing the harmful effects of excessive reactive oxygen on the human body. Additionally, they neutralize positively charged airborne particulate matter, rendering it electrically neutral and causing it to settle down, thus purifying the air.
The negative oxygen ion purifier effectively combats secondhand smoke pollution, efficiently removes dust particles, and can enhance the blood's oxygen-carrying capacity by approximately 20%. It also effectively boosts human metabolism, improves sleep quality, significantly eliminates indoor odors, effectively neutralizes high-voltage static electricity generated by computers, televisions, and other devices, protects eyesight, and releases trace amounts of ozone that provide a certain antibacterial and disinfecting effect.
A key characteristic is that negative oxygen ions have a very short lifespan in the air, so they need to be continuously released. As for their ability to purify pollutants such as formaldehyde and benzene compounds caused by decoration and renovation, the effect is rather limited; therefore, you’ll need to make a careful selection based on your specific needs.
Active oxygen technology provides rapid and thorough disinfection.
Active oxygen technology is based on the application of ozone generators and is a fundamental purification technique. Virtually all negative-ion generators can release ozone at a certain concentration, and this technology is widely used in the vast majority of air purifiers.
Note: When using an ozone sterilization and purification device, it is essential to pay close attention to ensure that the ozone generation rate complies with national standards (the National Health Ministry stipulates a safe ozone concentration of 0.1 ppm, while the industrial hygiene standard is 0.15 ppm). Additionally, when using an ozone generator to purify indoor air, all personnel must leave the premises; after disinfection is complete, windows should be opened for ventilation for at least half an hour.
Feature: Ozone exhibits a remarkably rapid inactivation effect on bacteria, and its sterilization efficacy is beyond doubt. When used appropriately, it is internationally recognized as the most environmentally friendly, thorough, and effective purification method. Once its concentration reaches a certain level, sterilization and disinfection can even be accomplished instantaneously.
The downside is that excessive ozone poses serious health risks to humans. High concentrations of ozone can cause sore throats, chest tightness, coughing, bronchitis, emphysema, neurotoxicity, and impairment of the body's immune function. Because ozone has a strong irritant effect, people tend to avoid it as soon as they feel discomfort; therefore, poisoning typically does not occur during its use.
