Guangyuan Technology Successfully Advances: The preliminary round of the Zhejiang Excellent Project—Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, hosted by the Kejin Hua Science Park, as part of the 7th “Maker China” event, was a resounding success!

On the afternoon of July 13, the preliminary round of the Jinhua regional competition—specifically tailored for the Zhongke Jinhua Science and Technology Park—of the 7th “Maker China” “Zhejiang Excellent Projects” SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was successfully held at the New Energy Vehicle Town Living Room.

This competition is themed “Focusing on the Industrial Chain, Deploying the Innovation Chain, and Allocating the Capital Chain.” It is guided by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Finance, and the Zhejiang Provincial Integrated Enterprise Service Platform, and organized by the Jinhua Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, the Jinhua Municipal Bureau of Finance, the Economic Development Bureau of the Development Zone, and the Jinkai Industry and Development Corporation. The Jinhua Municipal Integrated Enterprise Service Platform, the Organization and Personnel Bureau of the Development Zone, the Youth League Working Committee of the Development Zone, and the Zhongke Incubator serve as the implementing agencies.

Song Wenmin, Deputy Director of the Economic Development Bureau of the Development Zone, delivered a speech at the competition. He stated that the innovation and entrepreneurship competition is a crucial tool for fostering an innovation and entrepreneurship culture and creating a favorable atmosphere for such activities. It also serves as an important means of promoting positive interactions among talent, capital, technology, enterprises, industrial parks, and government. He emphasized that the competition can leverage the synergistic effects of integrated innovation among large, medium, and small enterprises, thereby providing new impetus for the real economy in the development zone.

The competition has invited Associate Professor Xu Dewu from the School of Economics and Management at Zhejiang Normal University, Deputy Dean Chi Shuiming from the College of Entrepreneurship at the Zhejiang Institute of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Rao Yuchun, Deputy Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee for Plant Genetics, to serve as judges and mentors. They will evaluate the business plans and pitch presentations of the projects based on aspects such as the project team, project strengths, profit model, target customer base, and patent status, and provide guidance and recommendations.

A total of 10 projects participated in this preliminary selection round, among which 7 were submitted by the Zhongke Jinhua Science and Technology Park. The participating representatives presented their pitch projects via PowerPoint presentations, covering such aspects as project planning, team building, market analysis, competitive advantages, business model, expansion plans, and funding requirements.










After fierce competition, two projects—“Development of Hydrolysis-Ozone Sterilization and Disinfection Technology for the Post-Pandemic Era,” submitted by Jinhua Guangyuan Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. from the Zhongke Jinhua Science and Technology Park, and “Research and Industrialization of Smart Electric Bicycles,” submitted by Jinhua Aotema Technology Co., Ltd.—as well as the project “Smart Digital Industrial Internet Platform for the Distributed Clean Energy Industry” from Zhejiang Shangnuo Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., successfully advanced to the city-level finals.

Finally, Zhou Guoping, Executive Director and General Manager of the CAS Incubator, presented certificates to the projects that had advanced.
It is reported that Jinhua Guangyuan Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. is a company specializing in the R&D, manufacturing, and sales of low-pressure electrolysis-based ozone products and equipment. In recent years, ozone-based disinfection and sterilization technology has been increasingly adopted by more and more countries. In the United States, Japan, and many European nations, this technology has been widely applied in fields such as public facilities, food processing, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and medicine. Compared with other disinfection and sterilization methods, ozone disinfection and sterilization boasts broad-spectrum efficacy, simple operation, no residual substances, and instantaneous sterilization. Moreover, it completely avoids the environmental and health hazards caused by chemical disinfectants—many of which even carry a potential carcinogenic risk—making it an ideal disinfection and sterilization method.
A comparison between ozone disinfection and traditional disinfection methods shows that ozone disinfection has earned high recognition across various industries in the market due to its outstanding performance.

The emergence of Guangyuan Technology’s PEM electrolysis-based ozone generation technology has greatly expanded the application fields of ozone. This technology overcomes the various drawbacks of the traditional high-voltage corona method. The core electrode of the generator is non-consumable, resulting in low operating costs. Moreover, the ozone concentration produced by this technology is more than six times higher than that produced by the conventional high-voltage corona method. Notably, the ozone generated contains neither nitrogen oxides nor volatile organic pollutants—substances identified by national environmental monitoring agencies—as a result, it is truly a low-carbon, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly product. Consequently, its application scope is even broader, making it an inevitable trend in the development of ozone-generation technologies.
Currently, the high-voltage corona discharge method is widely used in the market for ozone generation. This method uses air as the raw material and relies on a dielectric medium maintained at a specific discharge gap between two parallel high-voltage electrodes. When a high voltage is applied across these electrodes, the heat generated excites oxygen molecules in the air, causing them to collide and form ozone. The corona discharge process uses air as the gas source for ozone production. Since air contains more than 78% nitrogen, under high-voltage conditions, nitrogen reacts with oxygen to form a new compound—nitrogen dioxide. Nitrogen dioxide is internationally recognized as a toxic substance and is considered one of the factors contributing to cancer development. Moreover, the high-voltage corona discharge technology itself has limitations in producing high-concentration ozone; typically, the weight-based ozone concentration ranges from 1% to 3%.
The low-pressure electrolytic ozone generation technology uses a solid-state noble-metal polymer as the electrolyte. By performing low-pressure electrolysis of water (H2O), oxygen is separated to produce ozone. The resulting ozone has a weight-based concentration as high as 18-20%, and the accompanying gas is pure oxygen, with absolutely no pollution. This method requires no additional auxiliary equipment or additives—only the addition of a pure water supply system is needed for stable operation. Moreover, the device itself is equipped with a circulating cooling function for its pure water supply, so there’s no need to take separate measures for temperature reduction or cooling. Low-pressure electrolysis does not generate electromagnetic interference or other types of disturbances, making it suitable for use in laboratories or environments with highly precise equipment.

The core electrode of the low-pressure electrolytic ozone generator is a non-consumable type operating at 3–5V, featuring low electrode wear and enabling continuous operation. Moreover, it poses no safety risks (high-voltage corona-type ozone technology typically operates at voltages above 1,000V). The gas produced by the low-pressure electrolytic ozone generator consists of 20% high-concentration ozone, which is used for air disinfection and sterilization, and 80% oxygen, which helps improve indoor environmental quality and increase the oxygen content of the air. This project fully complies with the requirements of Item 7—Resource and Environmental Technologies—of the “National Key Areas of High Technology Supported by the State,” jointly issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, and the State Administration of Taxation. Specifically, it meets the criteria outlined in Article 4: “Technologies for Improving Local Air Quality and Controlling Pollution—technologies for disinfecting and sterilizing, removing dust, purifying, and increasing the oxygen content of air in urban public facilities.”
