The new standard for air purifiers is the 2015 national standard, which replaced the 2008 national standard. The new standard has relaxed the requirements for noise levels and introduces a new metric called CCM, or “cumulative purification capacity.” Therefore, when selecting an air purifier now, we need to take into account several factors comprehensively, including CADR (clean air delivery rate), CCM, noise level, and energy efficiency.
